SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service govern the text messaging program operated by Simple IT (a brand of GIT Technology Services LLC, a Texas limited liability company). By opting into our SMS program, you agree to these terms.

§ 01 Program Description

Simple IT sends SMS messages to existing customers for customer care purposes, including appointment confirmations and reminders, forensic case status updates, secure file upload/download links, invoice notifications, and replies to inbound support questions.

All messages are sent from the Simple IT brand. We do not use SMS for marketing, promotions, or bulk outreach.

§ 02 Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary. The number of messages you receive depends on the type of engagement you have with us. Typical volume is approximately 1 to 5 messages per active customer per engagement.

§ 03 Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to every message we send and every message you send to us. Simple IT does not charge for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier may.

§ 04 How Consent Is Obtained

Customers opt into the Simple IT SMS program by providing their mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent box on the Simple IT Client Intake Questionnaire. The intake form explicitly discloses that checking the consent box authorizes Simple IT to send SMS messages for the customer care purposes listed above.

We do not import, purchase, or otherwise obtain mobile numbers from third parties. Consent is always given directly by the customer.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We make every effort to deliver messages promptly, but delivery is ultimately handled by mobile carriers whose networks are outside our control.

For reference, the following is the consent language that applies when customers opt into our SMS program:

§ 09 Privacy

Your SMS consent and any data associated with SMS messages are handled according to our Privacy Policy. Importantly, your SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates.

§ 10 Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes that affect your rights, we will notify active SMS participants directly.
